Education
Youth in our community will be supported and nurtured at multiple community levels. Very young children will have the skills necessary to be ready to enter school. Youth will be supported outside of the school setting to ensure literacy, successful transitions, and to graduate from high school on time ready for success in college, work, and life. Supporting youth to make healthy choices and engaging them in community is an integral part of keeping them in school and on track in their lives.
1. Increasing parents’ and family members’ capacity, knowledge and skills to nurture their young children

5. Creating sustained connections between youth and adults who act as positive role models. This can include positive peer role models.
6. Developing opportunities for youth to acquire life skills and knowledge they need through community involvement.
