Partnership Coordinator (full-time)
Through a recent merger of the Franklin-Grand Isle Community Partnership and the Franklin-Grand Isle United Way, our community is presented with a unique opportunity to hire a special individual to shape the health and human services priorities and identify resources for our two-county area.

Our ideal Partnership Coordinator will possess comprehensive organizational skills, evaluation expertise, demonstrated oral and written communication, a proven understanding of teamwork and collaboration, and familiarity with grant research and preparation.
OVERVIEW:

Working under the direction of the Franklin-Grand Isle United Way Executive Director (UWED) with support and encouragement from the Partnership Executive Leadership Team (PELT) the coordinator will:

  • Facilitate an annual priority setting of 5-10 community impact initiatives. Work with Partnership Members on identification, execution, outcome measurement, and evaluation of such initiatives.
  • Advance local outcomes as determined by the Community Partnership Membership and ensure consistency with the Agency of Health and Human Services 10 Outcomes.
  • Encourage creative and effective ways for members to network and communicate sharing and collaborative opportunities among local partners.
  • Research, Identify, Match, and Encourage local grant opportunities.
  • Bring organizations together to develop a comprehensive community needs assessment and local community report card that meets reporting needs of partners. Blended with this, every two year publication, will be a regional plan to address priorities and how we will achieve local results.
  • Working closely with the United Way staff and volunteer finance committee, the coordinator will assist in the fiscal agency coordination of various community based grants.
  • Manage State Grant and serve as the liaison between the State of Vermont and VT Association of Regional Partnerships including participation in quarterly State Team meetings and regular participation in the Vermont Association of Regional Partnerships. This will include a collaborative relationship with the field service director and participation on the District Leadership Team.
  • Other community based or United Way related tasks as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  1. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  2. Able to build, motivate, and encourage teamwork.
  3. Experience in bring organizations and individuals together to work on shared community issues.
  4. Ability to research grants – some grant writing experience preferred.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Knowledgeable about both state and non-profit social services programs and community conditions.
